Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CoastalTask ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services. CoastalTask connects customers ("Users") with independent service providers ("Taskers") in Corpus Christi, Texas.

2. Description of Services

CoastalTask provides a platform for Users to book various local services including, but not limited to, cleaning, lawn care, and valet trash services. We act as an intermediary to facilitate these connections and process payments. Taskers are independent contractors and not employees of CoastalTask.

3. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Tasker Services & Conduct

Taskers represent themselves as independent professionals. While CoastalTask performs background checks and verifies identities, we do not directly supervise or control the work of Taskers. Users agree to treat Taskers with respect and provide a safe working environment. Taskers agree to perform services professionally and in accordance with industry standards.

5. Payments & Billing

Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. Users are charged upon completion of the service or as agreed upon in recurring service plans.

• Pricing: Prices are transparently displayed before booking.
• Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled service may incur a cancellation fee.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with our refund policy.

6. User Content

Users and Taskers may post reviews, ratings, and other content. You grant CoastalTask a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with the Platform. You agree not to post content that is illegal, abusive, or violates third-party rights.

7. Liability & Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoastalTask is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Users agree to indemnify and hold CoastalTask harmless from any claims arising out of their use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be resolved through binding arbitration in Corpus Christi, Texas, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
